Hi I wonder if anyone can help me? I have a problem seeing the drop down brushes panel in  elements 6 I can enlarge the panel,no problem but the images of the brush choices is so dark I can not see them.In hope,Regards,

Hi Graham.

This has been an issue ever since Adobe decided to change the colour scheme.

You can alter the brightness by going to the Edit menu and selecting General Preferences. In Elements 8 you only have the choice of Light or Dark, in version 7 you have a dark to light slider.

It's still not great but makes it a little easier to see.

Thanks David but as I am using 6 it does'nt work.I think the only thing it to Draw all curtains and work in the dark.Thanks again

No, 6 was when they first went to the dark interface but didn't really think it through too well. They had a lot of complaints and added the option to alter the brightness. They shot themselves in the foot with it.
